Which adapter do I need for my SUP / kayak / boat?
Take a look at our product page (LINK to product page fin) and check the available fin mounts and the dimensions of the adapters. If you are still unsure, send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and attach a picture of your fin mount. You should also tell us the brand of your board.
Are all SUP / kayak materials equally functional for the E-Fin?
No. The best riding characteristics have inflatable water sports equipment.
All other boards / kayaks are, depending on the material composition, radio unfavorable or even -impermeable. In particular boards with carbon content. This is completely impermeable to radio waves.
Are the batteries replaceable?
Unfortunately, no. To ensure the full tightness of the E-Fin, we have to grout the entire inner cavity with a compaction measure.
Important to know: The battery has a minimum life of 500 charging cycles. After that, the battery is not broken, but gradually loses its full capacity.
How fast can I go with the E-Fin?
Depending on the driving characteristics of the water sports equipment and the rider's weight, the E-Fin can accelerate up to 8 km/h.
Will I get faster with multiple E-Fins on one SUP?
Unfortunately, no. Only the thrust when starting up becomes stronger.
Can I use the E-Fin on all waters?
There are various waterways where navigation is prohibited. Familiarize yourself with the local laws, watch out for bathing areas and other zones closed to water sports.

How long is the warranty period?
Our warranty period is 12 months on the battery and 24 months on all other components.
What is the maximum weight of the driver?
As long as the rider is carried by the board, he can also ride it with our e-axles. Only the range, maximum top speed and flexibility may suffer.
Can I also split the e-axis into two decks?
Of course! However, the range and power are then halved and the e-axis can overheat faster due to the heavier load. For the second deck, another controller can be purchased.
In principle, we recommend driving the e-axles in pairs. Only for children or light adults up to about 45 kilos a single e-axis would be conceivable.
Is it possible to exchange the roles?
The urethane rollers can be changed very quickly and easily. Replacement rollers in different colors and sizes are available in our store. The motor does NOT need to be changed.
Can I ride my JayKay electric longboard on public roads | sidewalks?
In Germany, the operation of electric longboards, as with regular skateboards and longboards, is currently only allowed in areas free of traffic regulations and on private property. Legalization at the legislative level is currently in progress.
Other countries have different regulations. You should take these into account before buying.
What happens to my board if I fall or bounce?
The electronics detect if a rider moves away from the board. As soon as a distance of 2-3 meters is exceeded, the board rolls out.
Carriage in passenger aircraft
The electric longboard axles are under the maximum allowed nominal energy of 100 Wh / device (single axle) and therefore theoretically allowed to be carried in hand luggage.
However, we have made the experience that flight safety now and then arbitrarily does not allow devices with installed lithium batteries to be carried, even if it is allowed according to the regulation.
The electric fin exceeds the maximum allowable rated energy and must NOT be carried in the passenger aircraft.

You can return your order within 14 days after you have received it. It is important that the products are unused and returned in the same condition in which you received them.
